NODFA has continued to build meaningful relationships with a wide range of UK dignitaries and senior decision-makers, including Mayors, Members of Parliament, Ministers, senior NHS leaders, the GMC Chief Executive and Police Commissioners. These high-level engagements have provided an important platform to raise the voices of doctors, healthcare professionals and communities and to discuss the challenges they face across the United Kingdom.
A broad range of issues surrounding the NHS, doctors’ career progression, professional development, recruitment, retention and the future of healthcare were discussed in depth. Particular attention was given to the challenges faced by International Medical Graduates and the importance of creating fair, transparent and supportive pathways for doctors to progress and contribute fully to the NHS.
Community concerns were also an important part of these discussions, with NODFA highlighting the need for stronger engagement, better communication and greater collaboration between communities, professional organisations and public institutions.
Rather than simply highlighting problems, NODFA has focused on finding practical, constructive and sustainable solutions. The discussions explored how elected representatives, professional regulators, NHS leadership, law enforcement and community organisations can work together to identify challenges early, develop effective strategies and deliver meaningful support.
These engagements reflect NODFA’s commitment to being a bridge between doctors, communities and decision-makers, ensuring that concerns are heard at the right level and that dialogue is transformed into positive action.
Listening. Connecting. Collaborating. Finding solutions. Making a difference.
