NODFA continues to go beyond geographical boundaries, taking its vision of supporting doctors, healthcare professionals and communities to different parts of Europe. During a significant visit to Sweden, NODFA had the honour of meeting Mr Zahoor Ahmed, Ambassador of Pakistan to Sweden, and engaging with Pakistani doctors and allied health professionals working across the country.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen connections with the Pakistani medical and healthcare community in Sweden and to explore how professionals across Europe can work together for the betterment of Pakistan, local communities and doctors.
Important discussions focused on professional networking, career development, education, training, mentorship, healthcare collaboration and opportunities for knowledge and skills exchange between Pakistan and Europe. The importance of creating stronger platforms for Pakistani doctors and allied health professionals abroad was also highlighted, enabling them to share their expertise and contribute meaningfully to healthcare development in Pakistan.
The meeting also explored how the Pakistani diaspora can play a greater role in community welfare, humanitarian support and national development, while strengthening collaboration between Pakistani organisations across different European countries.
NODFA’s vision is clear: to connect Pakistani doctors and professionals wherever they are, build bridges between countries, support those in need and transform collective expertise into meaningful action.
The Sweden visit was another important step in this journey—demonstrating that NODFA is not limited by borders, but united by a shared purpose of service, collaboration and progress.
