The NODFA Executive Meeting & Get-Together in May 2025 was a memorable and productive gathering, bringing together dedicated members of the National Overseas Doctors Family Association (NODFA) with a shared commitment to supporting doctors, strengthening our community, and building a better future together.

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for the Executive Team to come together in a friendly and positive environment, while discussing a number of important issues affecting doctors and their families. A significant part of the discussion focused on how NODFA can further support doctors in need, particularly colleagues facing professional, personal or financial challenges, ensuring that no doctor feels alone during difficult times.

The Executive also discussed career progression, professional development and mentorship, with an emphasis on helping doctors understand the UK healthcare system, explore opportunities for advancement, overcome career barriers and achieve their full professional potential.

Alongside professional matters, the meeting addressed several community-related issues and challenges faced by overseas doctors and their families. The importance of unity, mutual support, effective communication and collective action was strongly emphasised.

The gathering was not only about meetings and discussions—it was also about friendship, solidarity and strengthening the NODFA family. The warm get-together provided an opportunity to reconnect, share experiences and generate new ideas for the future.

NODFA continues to stand together—as a family, as a professional community, and as a support network for doctors and their families. The May 2025 meeting reflected our shared vision of supporting those in need, empowering doctors, strengthening careers and building a stronger community together.
