The UK Career Jumpstart Programme is a focused professional development initiative designed to support Pakistani doctors who aspire to progress their careers and build a successful professional future in the UK. The programme will involve Consultants and experienced senior doctors from the UK, who will share their knowledge, experience and practical guidance with doctors in Pakistan.
Through a series of structured online sessions, mentorship and career guidance, doctors will receive support on GMC registration, UK licensing examinations, CV and portfolio development, NHS job applications, interview preparation, clinical communication, NHS working culture and specialty-specific career pathways.
The programme will also provide opportunities for Pakistani doctors to connect directly with UK Consultants, ask questions, understand the realities of working in the NHS and avoid common mistakes during their journey.
