A high-profile and highly productive meeting was held between the Board of NODFA and Mr Moazzam Ahmed, High Commissioner of Pakistan in London, providing an important platform to discuss matters of mutual interest concerning Pakistan, the Pakistani diaspora and the vital role that UK-based doctors and professionals can play in supporting the country.

A wide range of important issues were discussed, with particular emphasis on how Pakistani doctors and healthcare professionals in the United Kingdom can contribute their expertise, experience and professional networks towards strengthening healthcare and supporting communities in Pakistan.

One of the most significant discussions centred around the vision of bringing Pakistani organisations, professional associations and community groups together on one common platform, promoting greater unity, cooperation and collective action. The aim is to reduce fragmentation, strengthen communication and encourage organisations to work together for the benefit of the wider Pakistani community.

NODFA expressed its willingness to take a leading role in facilitating this collaborative platform, bringing together organisations and communities with a shared vision of service, unity and progress. This initiative was highly appreciated and acknowledged by Mr Moazzam Ahmed, High Commissioner of Pakistan, reflecting the importance of NODFA’s continued contribution to the community.

The meeting was a significant step towards creating stronger bridges between Pakistan and the UK, empowering Pakistani professionals, supporting communities and transforming collective goodwill into meaningful action.

United in purpose. Connected by our roots. Stronger through collaboration. Together, we can make a difference.
