Ten years ago, a vision was born — a vision to bring overseas doctors and their families together, to create a community where no one feels alone, and to build a platform founded on friendship, respect, unity and selfless service. Today, that vision stands stronger than ever as NODFA proudly celebrates its magnificent 10-year journey. From its humble beginnings as a small group of local doctors in 2016, NODFA has grown into a national organisation, creating a remarkable network of doctors and families and touching lives through education, teaching and mentoring, professional networking, charity, community service, sports, women and children’s initiatives and family activities.
The last decade has been far more than a celebration of events — it has been a celebration of people. It has been about opening doors for doctors, guiding the next generation, supporting families, creating lifelong friendships, standing together during difficult times, celebrating together in moments of happiness, and building a true “home away from home.” NODFA’s commitment was especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when its team worked tirelessly to support doctors and the wider community.
Ten years of NODFA is therefore not simply an anniversary — it is a milestone of resilience, compassion, leadership and collective achievement. It is a tribute to every volunteer, every member, every family, every supporter and every individual who has contributed to this extraordinary journey. From one idea to a powerful movement; from a small gathering to a national family; from friendship to fellowship; from service to legacy — NODFA has created something truly special.
