The NODFA Sports Season 2026 got off to a fantastic start with an exciting cricket match between the NODFA Avengers and the British Indian Doctors Association (BIDA)—bringing together doctors and professionals from two vibrant communities through the shared love of sport.
The match was about much more than cricket. It was a wonderful opportunity to build friendships, strengthen communication and create lasting professional and community connections in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Healthy competition on the field was matched by warmth, respect and friendship off the field.
Sport has a unique ability to bring people together, break barriers and create relationships that can last for many years. Through initiatives like this, NODFA aims to promote teamwork, wellbeing, networking and cultural understanding, while strengthening the bonds between professional organisations and communities across the UK.
The NODFA Avengers and BIDA demonstrated that while we may compete passionately on the cricket field, friendship, respect and unity always come first.
